Smile...You Are Beautiful
Trichhelp.org was founded with a heartfelt mission: to make a positive impact on the lives of the approximately 3.5 percent of the U.S. population enduring the challenges of Trichotillomania.
Our journey began when my daughter, Emma, self-diagnosed herself with Trichotillomania at the age of 12. She couldn't understand why she couldn't stop pulling out her hair, and after researching her behaviors, she realized she had Trichotillomania. Emma confided in me about her condition, and because I had never heard of Trichotillomania, I did what any parent would do – I began trying to understand this complex disorder as best I could. Now, almost ten years later, Emma and I have gathered a wealth of knowledge and resources that we wanted to share, hoping it might help others suffering from this disorder.
Additionally, we have recently joined forces with the esteemed University of Chicago's Hope & Healing Network. Together, we are committed to advancing research focused on discovering treatments for Trichotillomania and actively raising crucial financial resources to support cutting-edge research initiatives led by Dr. Jon Grant. Dr. Grant's tireless efforts continue to explore pioneering treatments that offer hope and assistance to individuals grappling with TTM. By supporting these initiatives, we aim to work toward a future where Trichotillomania is better understood and more effectively treated.
Please help support these initiatives, and note that all funds raised go directly to Dr. Jon Grant at the University of Chicago.
